Kris Johnson is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Manifold, where he is responsible for designing and implementing machine learning systems that can operate at scale. This entails experimenting with different machine learning models, writing and deploying Python code, and setting up AWS infrastructure with our customers.

Prior to Manifold, Kris was a Data Scientist at W. L. Gore & Associates, where he solved microscopic image segmentation tasks with PyTorch UNets to replace human hand labeling. Before Gore, he was a Data Architect at Phunnel, where he was the sole architect in an early stage startup, building a Postgres database backend on AWS Redshift. Kris built his foundation in data and product at comScore where he held multiple roles, including Manager of Audience Analytics. He was responsible for multiple product launches, feature additions, data quality improvements, processing optimizations, and custom data cuts.

Kris has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a MS in Data Science from the University of San Francisco.
