Dylan Royston is a Data Engineer at Manifold, where he works on cross-functional customer projects, building and designing data architecture and pipelines. He has a biomedical background, with experience across a variety of technologies.
Prior to Manifold, Dylan was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC, where he worked with clinicians and developed data pipelines for analyzing human neurosurgical data. As a PhD Candidate he worked to support and advance clinical neurotechnology trials by designing and implementing statistical/machine-learning models to interpret implanted recordings and functional imaging data. Dylan was also a Data Engineering Fellow with Insight Data Science, where he designed and built a cloud computing platform using PySpark, TimescaleDB, and PostgreSQL to process and store audio data for rapid machine learning exploration.
Dylan has a BS in Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience from the University of Virginia, and a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
