Staff Machine Learning Engineer
Chris Schuch is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Manifold, where he develops data and machine learning pipelines for our customers, using tools such as Spark and Apache Airflow. He also collaborates with customers so that they better understand their data infrastructure, and how it interacts with the rest of their software platforms. Recent product successes include using Apache Airflow and Spark to build a configurable data pipeline system for a payer data platform company, and building machine learning models to classify job postings for an analytics software company.
Prior to Manifold, Chris was a Data Engineer at PatientPing, where he led the research, design, and implementation of an online correlation clustering engine used to perform entity resolution on over twenty million patient records. He also architected customer facing applications, and led the development of a data analytics platform for use both internally and externally. Before PatientPing, Chris was a Data Scientist at Markforged, a 3D printer manufacturing company. There, he developed ETL pipelines into a data warehouse for the purposes of internal analytics and BI dashboards.
Chris has a BS in Physics from MIT, and completed PhD coursework in Statistics from Cornell University before he transitioned to industry.
