Chris Schuch has recently joined Manifold as a Machine Learning Engineer. In this capacity, he will help clients understand how best to use their data to address business problems; he will also build data and machine learning pipelines to solve those problems.
Prior to Manifold, Chris was a Data Engineer at PatientPing, a healthcare coordination network. While there he built up his healthcare knowledge and was involved in a broad variety of activities, including integrating their data infrastructure with clients, designing their internal data model and general strategy, developing data processing pipelines, architecting customer facing applications, and creating their data analytics platform.
Before PatientPing, Chris was a Data Scientist at Markforged, a 3D printer manufacturing company. He has worked closely with both engineers and non-technical business stakeholders throughout his career, often becoming the go-to “data person” at his past jobs.
At Manifold, Chris looks forward to sharing his healthcare domain knowledge, and further build upon his deep background in data engineering and machine learning. “I am excited to work with such an experienced and supportive team. The breadth of opportunities here is perfect—from helping clients think strategically about data, to hands-on technical work.”
When not working on machine learning, Chris can be found perfecting his baking skills, hiking with his dog Olly, and practicing yoga.
Chris earned his BS degree in Physics from MIT.
